We are pleased to welcome Professor Matthew Harding, University of California Irvine.


Discussion theme: Can AI replace high-skilled workers?

Matt will discuss how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can learn and replicate subjective judgements of high-skilled workers, a possible enabler for improving business efficiency, as well as his perspectives on how big data, and AI can create value in business.

Prior to joining the University of California, Irvine, Matt previously held academic positions at Stanford University and Duke University.

Matt’s academic work covers wide range of topics from health, energy, and consumer finance. He is particularly interested in the role of technology and automation to induce behavior change and help individuals live happier and healthier lives. At the same time his research emphasizes solutions for achieving triple-win strategies. These are solutions that not only benefit individual consumers, but are profitable for firms, and have a large positive impact on society at large.
